HGTECH Signs a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

On October 19th, HGTECH and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony. The event saw the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement by Jin Yu, Party Committee Member and Chairman of the Technology Committee of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and Xiong Wen, Party Committee Member and Vice President of HGTECH. The ceremony was attended by Chen Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and Ma Xinqiang, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of HGTECH, who witnessed the signing.

This strategic cooperation, built on the foundation of excellent collaboration between both parties, leverages each other’s strengths. It involves the application of professional design and construction expertise, as well as intelligent manufacturing and smart equipment technologies, in various engineering sectors. This collaboration encompasses areas such as top-level planning for intelligent ship manufacturing, workshop modernization, laser technology process research, and industrial internet applications.

Both parties will cooperate through joint applications for national, industry, and local research projects, among other forms of collaboration, to expedite technological breakthroughs and talent development. This collaborative effort aims to promote mutual progress and achieve win-win outcomes.

Chen Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., emphasized the significance of this strategic cooperation in achieving high-quality development for both parties. He expressed his hope that, within the framework of this agreement, both sides will work together to create a model of cooperation that is mutually beneficial and conducive to win-win development. This partnership will play a crucial role in supporting Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding’s strategic goal and continually achieving new breakthroughs.

Before the event, the HGTECH delegation visited the Thin Plate Center and the under-construction domestic large cruise ship, the ‘Ada · Magic Capital.’ Chairman Ma Xinqiang expressed his high praise for Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding’s achievements in brand development, technological innovation capabilities, and the construction technology of large cruise ships. He expressed his hope that, with the signing of the agreement, both parties would become long-term strategic partners built on mutual trust and recognition.
